Paullina Golf Course

In 1922, Golf was played on a course that was laid out in a pasture. Cattle used the pasture golf course even when the men were playing.  

In 1955, a private pump system to take water from the lake for watering greens was installed.

Golf as a sport was not popular until the 1930's.

The 9-hole "Paullina" course at the Paullina Golf Club on Mill Creek facility in Paullina, Iowa features 2,784 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 35. The course rating is 67.0 and it has a slope rating of 109. Paullina golf course opened in 1914.
