Egret

Great Egrets are tall, long-legged wading birds with long, S-curved necks and long, dagger-like bills

All feathers on Great Egrets are white. Their bills are yellowish-orange, and the legs black.

You’ll find Great Egrets in both freshwater and saltwater habitats.

Great Egrets make dry, croaking sounds, nasal squeals, and other harsh calls. They are particularly vocal during breeding season as they go about establishing territories, courting, forming pairs, and maintaining pair bonds.
