Compass Plant

These are large plants, reaching heights of 8 feet tall. The yellow flower is about 2 and half inches wide, along with hairy leaves able to reach 16 inches long.

You’ll see this plant blooming from July to September, in prairies, fields and in roadsides.

Compass plants' woody roots can reach 10 feet into the ground.

Compass plants are not only an attractive plant to have around, they also attract birds and small mammals that eat the seeds. They are a hardy plant to have around due to their drought tolerance. The low water requirement allows other plants to thrive around it.
