On Saturday, May 14, kick off your day with “Breakfast for the Birds.”  Meet at the Prairie Heritage Center at 7:30 a.m. for rolls and coffee.  After breakfast, hit the birding trail.  A hike at the center is planned; then participants will carpool to Wanata State Park in Peterson for more bird viewing.

At 11:00 a.m. join in to “Create-A-Craft” at the Prairie Heritage Center.  Crafts on the list will be willow fish, stick dragonflies, and yarn butterflies.

Take part in a Butterfly Survey Walk at 1:00 p.m.  Participants should meet at the Prairie Heritage Center.  The survey route will begin there.

Finally, at 4:00 p.m., people interested in learning about amphibians can take part in “Nature’s Chorus.”  Learn about these spring music makers and have a chance to see and touch various creatures.
