What’s that pretty purple flower that popped up all by itself by the mailbox?  It could be a sneaky invasive plant called Dame’s Rocket!  Invasive species have tricky ways of spreading across the country.

Join the O’Brien County Naturalist at the Prairie Heritage Center on Wednesday, May 27 at 6:30 p.m. to learn more about these invaders spreading by water, wind and roots.  “Stop the Invasion” will introduce participants to several species such as Dame’s Rocket, Purple Loosestrife, Brittle Naiad, Emerald Ash Borer and more.

Learn how to identify some of the plants and insects that are making their way into our area and how you can help prevent their spread.  For more information, contact the O’Brien County Conservation Board at 712-297200.
