It’s time to enjoy the beauty of the fall season and to take
a step back into the past to the days of the pioneers.  The O’Brien County
Conservation Board is holding the annual Historical Fall Fest at the Prairie
Heritage Center on Saturday, September 19, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
This event is a great one for everyone in the family.

Come for the afternoon or just spend a few hours taking in
the fall scenery and the fun.  Enjoy a horse drawn wagon ride through the
prairie to the pioneer cemetery.  Sample fresh pressed apple cider and
popcorn.  Experiment with some older farm tools.  Enter your toss in the
bison chip throwing contest.  Build a Prairie Gnome Home.  Climb into the
covered wagon to see what pioneer life was like.  There are crafts, games
and fun for everyone.  There is always so much to see and do at the Prairie
Heritage Center, and this festival is one of people’s favorites!

There is no charge for this event.  Make plans to
participate!  For more information, contact the Conservation Board at
712-295-7200.
