2021 Winter Library Series

Mark your calendar for the upcoming dates at the library closest to you! The O’Brien County Conservation Board is pleased to partner with area libraries to offer a naturalist led program in January, February, and March. Programs will be 45 minutes long, with time for questions. Good for all ages!

Winter Library Series Topics:

January: The Clever Fox

The fox is a well-known creature that appears in both folklore and pop culture. This month we will learn more about the fox and some of the stories behind this clever animal.

February: Let’s Talk about the Weather

If the groundhog sees his shadow this month, six more weeks of winter. Right?! Let’s talk about where weather folklore comes from, weather basics, and whether or not there is a hint of truth behind weather rhymes and sayings.

March: Sing into Spring

What’s that bird call? Join us for this interactive session where we will learn all about bird calls and the best way to remember which bird sings what song!
