David Thoreson at the Prairie Heritage Center October 25
Come to hear about a wild adventure! The O’Brien County Conservation Board is pleased to host Humanities Iowa speaker, David Thoreson, for a presentation on Thursday, October 25 at 7:00 p.m. at the Prairie Heritage Center.
David is a professional photographer, sailor and explorer who has logged over 70,000 ocean miles. He has twice sailed the Arctic’s Northwest Passage. David provides an inspiring story of adventure and an eye-witness account of the climate change impact to sensitive polar and ocean system affecting our environment worldwide – including Iowa. David has also recently returned from the Arctic Wildlife Refuge and will regale the audience with photos and tales from that journey as well.
